Rockwell Scharer is Founder and Chief Executive Officer of MediaBook®, a pioneer in broadcast quality content creation with real-time video background replacement on smart devices. As inventor of the portable Be Anywhere Pop-up line of studios with lighting built-in and developer of the Video-Creator-as-a-Service Be Anywhere® productivity platform, he obtained granted patents in the US and China, including an entire line of portable Pop-up Studios® that solve the lighting problem all creators face. The platform is controlled by a revolutionary real-time Be Anywhere Chroma key camera app, along with an extensive roadmap of software as a service like the Ads Creator, Connections, Virtual Teleportation, and MediaBook.tv, a curated library of location-based video loops used to replace live backgrounds. The Video-Creator-as-a-Service platform for content creators is state of the art in personal media studios developed by Academy, Emmy and Edison Award-winners. The ecosystem empowers amateurs to shoot ‘on location’ without leaving the house on smart devices. Scharer received an Edison Award for Best Digital Product Innovation in Media for the Be Anywhere app and Pop-up Studio technology platform. As a top-forty recording artist Scharer is a graduate of the University of Oregon Charles Lundquist School of Business with a B.S. in Finance, with post-graduate work at UCLA in creative writing and publishing two novels.
